It’s also possible to fit a pair of hearing aid demo’s to enable you to hear what amplification sounds like, and to determine if it improves your ability to hear and communicate, so that you can make an informed decision when buying your hearing aids. Hearing aids are programmed according to your hearing test results. It is sometimes necessary for fine tuning of the hearing aid settings to assist you in specific listening situations that you still find difficult. Whether you have just bought a hearing aid or you already have a hearing aid, we can do the programing/fine tuning for you.

Children with ADD or ADHD often have normal hearing, but find it very difficult to concentrate in a noisy classroom situation. A possible solution is to fit the child with a FM system which transmits the speech signal of the teacher directly to the child, and therefore it’s possible for the child to hear the teacher clearly above the background noise.
WCA (Workman’s Compensation) requires a complete diagnostic hearing test according to a specific test battery done in a specific manner in compliance with Article 171. We have years of experience doing these industrial hearing tests.
Over-exposure to noise as a result of hunting, work environment or exposure to loud music, can result in permanent noise-induced hearing loss, which may be accompanied by tinnitus (a ringing or buzzing sound in the ear). It’s possible to protect your hearing from noise damage by wearing custom made hearing protection. If you are exposed to loud noises regularly, you can make an appointment to have a set of hearing protectors made. Custom made hearing protectors will be made according to the specific noise you are exposed to.
We also make swimming plugs to keep water from going into the ear when swimming, especially when a perforation is present in the eardrum, or a grommet is inserted in the eardrum. Sleeping plugs can also be made to help you sleep better in the presence of noise.
